Deniz Gezgin
A Literary Transgression: The Language of the Voiceless
Novelist and researcher Deniz Gezgin meets her audience with a talk exploring the limits of human-centered narratives. The conversation invites participants to reflect on ways of understanding the worlds of non-human beings—often assumed to be voiceless—and to consider more balanced, reciprocal relationships with nature.
According to Gezgin, change begins in the language through which we construct and express the world: “The moment we fall into language, our world grows silent—we can no longer hear beyond our own noise.”
Gezgin’s recent works including her essay collection, novels and studies mark key stages in this line of thought.
Admission is free.
